Rooh-e-Gulab (also spelled Ruh Gulab) is a highly prized and luxurious essential oil distilled from fresh rose petals. The name comes from the Persian and Urdu words “rooh” (“soul” or “essence”) and “gulab” (“rose”), translating to “the soul of the rose”. It is one of the most celebrated traditional attars, or natural perfumes, known globally.
