Majmua

Majmua (also spelled Majmuah) is a highly popular and complex Indian attar, a traditional non-alcoholic perfume oil. The name, from the Arabic/Urdu word for “gathering” or “collection,” perfectly describes its nature as a harmonious blend of several distinct attars. It is particularly known for its calming, earthy, and sweet fragrance profile.

• Earthy and woodsy: Prominent notes of vetiver and mitti (the scent of baked earth) give it a deep, grounding, and refreshing quality, reminiscent of lush, wet soil after the first rain.
• Sweet and floral: Blends of floral attars, such as kewra (screw pine) and kadam (burflower tree), contribute sweet and exotic top and heart notes.
• Warm and musky: Sandalwood is often used as a base, providing a creamy, woody foundation that adds warmth and ensures the fragrance is long-lasting. Some variants may also include hints of musk or amber.
